It was a day of joy, praise, and heartfelt thanksgiving as the Adenike Kayode Fabunmi International Foundation (AKFIF) Ondo State Chapter the birthplace and head office of the foundation gathered in Akure to celebrate yet another impactful year of touching lives, transforming destinies, and spreading the message of love and hope.
From humble beginnings right in the heart of Ondo State, AKFIF has grown into a strong and reputable humanitarian force with chapters across Nigeria. It was only fitting that the home where it all began be the center of such a memorable celebration.
The celebration kicked off with a powerful thanksgiving service at RCCG MasterKey Parish, Akure, where members came adorned in their best, hearts filled with gratitude. The atmosphere was electrified with spirit-filled worship, joyful dancing, and a moving message from the pastor, who offered prophetic prayers for the foundation’s continued growth and for divine strength upon its leaders and members. The congregation couldn’t help but join in the resounding “Amen” as blessings were pronounced upon the mission and future of AKFIF.

In her remarks, Rachael Akinnodi, the vibrant Assistant State Coordinator, gave a stirring speech recounting the foundation’s journey from its early days. She expressed deep gratitude to God for how far AKFIF has come and shared how the vision, birthed from compassion, has turned into a beacon of hope for hundreds of lives. She highlighted key achievements including:
Sponsorship and empowerment of widows and orphans, especially in rural areas.
Prison outreaches that have led to real rehabilitation and even release of inmates.
Scholarships for indigent students, ensuring no child is left behind due to lack of funds.
Medical outreaches and food drives to communities in need.
Mentorship programs and capacity-building workshops for young people.
And several other initiatives that continue to bring light to dark places.
After the church service, the celebration moved to a lively gathering filled with laughter, connection, and love. Members exchanged thoughtful gifts a tradition symbolizing appreciation and the spirit of giving that AKFIF embodies. It was a beautiful scene of unity as everyone, young and old, shared in the moment.

One of the most captivating highlights of the day was the dance session. With hearts free and spirits high, members took to the floor in joyful dances, expressing their gratitude not just with words, but with movement. The joy was contagious, and the room radiated warmth and love. It wasn’t just a celebration it was a homecoming for the soul.
The grand finale was the cutting of the anniversary cake, a colorful and symbolic moment that brought everyone together in one voice of unity and celebration. It was a reminder of how far AKFIF has come and a declaration of greater things ahead.

As the day drew to a close, it was clear that this was more than just an event it was a testimony. A testimony of how one foundation, born in Ondo State, has continued to stand tall in service to humanity, and how its members especially in its founding state remain committed to building a world where compassion leads, and no one is left behind.

AKFIF Ondo State remains not just the genesis but the heartbeat of a movement that is changing lives one outreach at a time.
