The above-mentioned foundation did her first-ever end-of-the-year party in Kwara state which fulfilled the aims and mission of the foundation.

As we all know the vision and mission of the foundation is to develop society by showing love and promoting kindness without segregation.

The end-of-the-year party held on the 14th of December 2023 in Kwara state was well organized and touched the lives of so many people. The CEO of the foundation in the person of Mrs Adenike Fabunmi was ably represented by her personal Assistant and the head of media of the foundation in the person of Faduyilemi Abiodun Abayomi.

The program was into different segments. The first segment was sharing food items with the needy and aged. This happened in Abuja lane 1, Kilanko Kwara state where the representative of the CEO, Kwara state coordinator and members of AKFIF all participated in sharing the food to the needy and aged in the area. The beneficiaries were so happy to receive the items shared, we can see the smiles on their faces and they all prayed for the CEO of the foundation and members to put smiles on their faces during this festive period.

The second segment was visiting the Correctional Service at Ilorin Custodial Center, Okekura Ilorin Kwara state. We are all welcomed by the officers in charge and the inmates present at the correctional service.

It was burdened when the representative of the CEO in the person of Mr. Faduyilemi Abayomi, the Kwara state coordinator in the person of Pastor Mrs Veronica Yemi and members of AKFIF present heard that the correctional centre was built to accommodate just 120 inmates only for us to see above 620 inmates included male and female.

The representative of the CEO in the person of Mr Faduyilemi Abayomi when addressing the inmates said ” I know that life behind bars can be difficult and that you may feel forgotten or alone but we are here to let you know that there are people out there who care about you and want to help. Today, we brought you some items that you may need, such as food, soap, and other necessities. I hope that these items will help to make your life a little bit easier and that they will remind you that apart from these physical items, we want to offer you some words of encouragement. You may feel as though your life is stuck, or that you’ve made mistakes that you can’t come back from but I want you to know that it’s never too late to change your life for the better. You may be in a difficult situation right now, but that doesn’t mean that you’re stuck there forever. There is always hope for a better future, and with hard work and determination, you can achieve anything you set your mind to. I encourage you to hold on to hope.”

The state coordinator in the person of Pastor Veronica Yemi and all the Female members of the foundation had conversations with the female inmates and gave them words of encouragement. 

Items like bags of Garri, packs of soap, sugar, tissue papers and necessities brought for the inmates were shared with them respectively and the two representatives of the inmates appreciated the Convener, and members present for their loving kindness, words of encouragement and putting smiles on their faces during this festive period. They also pleaded with the members of the foundation to always remember them and they prayed for the convener that she would never go dry (Amen).

The last segment was full of enjoyment where all the members of AKFIF in Kwara state dine and wine together. This segment gave assurance to all the members of Kwara state that AKFIF is not political but a way to bless people from different backgrounds and cultures. During the program the representative of the Convener Mr. Faduyilemi Abayomi pronouncement Pastor Mrs Veronica Yemi as the Kwara state Coordinator officially. Award was given to these people Mrs.Oluwafunmilayo Adetuyi-Okunrinkoya, Madam Gold ( Nee Olowokere) Mr. Oluwafemi Shoaga for sponsoring and supporting us during the preparation of the program.

The Kwara State TV reporters were also present at the occasion and recorded each of the segments. The event ended after the cutting of the cake and dance! dance!! dance!!!.

The convener in the person of Mrs Adenike Fabunmi sent his assistant in the person of Mr Abayomi Faduyilemi to appreciateeverymembersr of the occasion. He also thanked members of the AKFIF who came from far distances to grace the occasion and also thanked the Kwara state chapter using the State coordinator as a point of contact to all AKFIF members in Kwara for their love and commitment toward the success of the program.
